PREVIOUS PROJECTS

  1.  Youth United for Community Action(YUCA) Climate Justice Campaign - Co- designer and facilitator - The Urban Permaculture Institute is partnering with YUCA to implement a youth led climate justice campaign. This program will leverage the young peoples’ existing knowledge and awareness around social and environmental justice issues, elevate their capacity to affect change rooted in their priorities, and support them in launching action oriented campaigns around the themes of Food, Water, and Energy.

  2. Young Black Climate Leaders - Co-designer, facilitator and thought partner - As part of my fellowship with Movement Strategy Center, I am honored to work with this new program supporting the leadership of young folks. The timing feels so synchronous with the state of the country and the urgency to defend, protect, and invest in our Black communities’ joy, leadership, and excellence. This programs aims to do so by resourcing young people age 18-24 to Dream, Create and Live into their vision for just and resilient communities.

  3. Accelerating Women’s Climate Solutions in the US - Co-Designer and Facilitator for Women’s Earth Alliance

In recognition of the central role that women play in environmental and climate movements and the resources they acutely need to grow their impact, the U.S. Grassroots Accelerator for Women Environmental Leaders supports women leaders from the U.S. and U.S. Territories with skills, tools, and networks critical to transforming pressing environmental and climate challenges into scalable solutions for all.

    The Accelerator includes:

  • 4 months of weekly facilitated online skill-building, knowledge exchange, and coaching with an action-oriented focus

  • Program content offered by diverse experts on topics such as designing and measuring for impact, effective communication strategies, resource mobilization, coalition building, environmental technologies, leadership, and self-care

  • Twice-monthly group video calls and speaker series

  • Sector-specific working groups to dig deeper into environmental technologies, networks, and communities of practice

  • The Collaboratory: A 2-day immersive experiential learning and knowledge-share, hosted by our partner Occidental Arts and Ecology Center (OAEC), an 80-acre research, demonstration, education, advocacy and community-organizing center in West Sonoma County, California (all travel and accommodation costs covered by the Accelerator)

  • Graduation into the Women’s Earth Alliance – an alliance of women environmental leaders who are building relationships for the long-term, co-designing a diverse and just movement of women’s environmental leadership, and unleashing solutions that will shape our collective future
